1. Who we are
Ixyle Technologies Private Limited (“Ixyle”, “we”, “us”) operates the Ixyle.ai AI mock-interview platform at www.ixyle.ai, the candidate dashboard at portal.ixyle.ai, and the live interview surface at interview.ixyle.ai. We are registered in India.
2. What we collect
When you sign up and use Ixyle, we collect:
- Account data — email, name, password (Argon2id-hashed; we never see your plaintext), email-OTP verification status.
- Resume data — when you upload, we extract: education, work history, skills, projects, internships, volunteer work, hobbies. Stored as structured JSON on your account.
- Interview data — when you run a mock: live audio (transcribed in real-time), live video (recorded for the session duration), live transcript, your scores per question, your overall report. The audio is converted to text and discarded within 24 hours unless you explicitly download it; the video is retained for 7 days unless you save it.
- Behavioural telemetry — pages visited, buttons clicked, errors encountered. Used to improve the product, never sold.
- Payment data — handled entirely by Razorpay (and Stripe for international). Ixyle stores only the transaction reference, never your card or UPI details.
- Optional — college name, city, branch, year (if you provide them in onboarding for campus-mode features).
3. How we use your data
- To run your interviews — feeding company + role context to the AI interviewer.
- To produce your graded report and recommendations.
- To remember your past interviews and avoid repeating questions.
- To send you account email (OTP, password reset, billing receipts) and product email (only if you opted in).
- To improve our AI models — but only on de-identified data with explicit, separate consent. Default is: your interviews are NOT used for training.
4. Third parties we share data with
- Anthropic (Claude API — interviewer LLM), Deepgram (speech-to-text + text-to-speech), OpenAI / Google Gemini (fallback when Anthropic is unavailable). We send minimum-necessary context: round type, company profile, your last utterance. Each provider's data-handling policy is published on their site.
- LiveKit — real-time voice/video transport (self-hosted on Azure ap-south-1).
- AWS SES — transactional email sending (OTP, password reset).
- Razorpay / Stripe — payment processing.
- Microsoft Azure — primary infrastructure (Cosmos MongoDB, Azure Container Apps, Blob Storage). Region: India / Central India.
We do not sell your data to advertisers, recruiters, employers, or any third party. We do not share interview transcripts, recordings, or scores with any company you might be interviewing for.
5. Data retention
- Account data — for as long as your account is active. Delete your account = we delete account + linked profile.
- Audio recordings — discarded within 24 hours after transcription, unless you download.
- Video recordings — 7 days unless saved by you.
- Transcripts + reports — kept indefinitely as part of your interview history (you can delete individual interviews from your dashboard).
- Payment records — 7 years for India tax compliance.
6. Your rights (DPDP-2023, India)
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Correct — fix anything inaccurate.
- Erase — delete your account and all associated data.
- Withdraw consent — for any processing you opted in to.
- Grievance redressal — escalate to our Data Protection Officer.

7. Cookies + analytics
We use first-party cookies for authentication (httpOnly, secure session cookie) and a small analytics cookie for product improvement (aggregated, never sold). No third-party advertising cookies. No Google Analytics on logged-in pages. No Facebook Pixel anywhere.
8. Security
See our Security page for technical details. In short: Argon2id password hashing, TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, mandatory 2FA for staff, quarterly pen-tests.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll email you 14 days before any material change takes effect. Minor edits (typos, clarifications) may be made silently and noted at the top of this page.
